I just really want to take a moment and say how weird life is.

No, really.

Its so incredibly odd.

Its so strange how sadness and worry can literally lace into your every thought and you fear you are just lost in a sea of sadness and self deprecation forever. But then something, really, really good happens and it feels strange that you ever felt bad in your whole entire life.

I am happy to say I am feeling the latter.

I noticed that Leeds Indie Radio, a station I have only just recently discovered, were holding a Leeds Fest competition to win two weekend tickets. After pretty much accepting that due to money reasons, I couldn't go, I still thought: What the heck? Why the hell should I not enter?

...And I won.

I was literally just reading their website to see their reviews on a gig at the Cockpit.

Now I am going to Leeds Fest.

In hindsight, life is weird but pretty cool sometimes. (or whatever and stuff).

If you're from Leeds, I recommend visiting this website, and listening to their shows. They keep up to date with fresh, unsigned local talent in the Leeds area, helping them to gain recognition.

On their website you can check out reviews of bands that have played in the Leeds area,  learn the most recent music news, and listen to previous shows via soundcloud etc.

I love hearing and listening about all the musical talent  in Leeds and knowing this radio station is on my back doorstep,  it is enlightening to know we produce such great talent, and that we don't let it go unnoticed.

I am thinking of writing a pre-festival post about my opinions on the Line-up and also talking about festival essentials. I've been previously for the weekend and for the day, so I have some knowledge I would like to  share. If I don't, you can expect a full review afterwards of what I thought about the festival and the bands performances.

You can visit Leeds Indie radio here and follow them on Twitter here.
